Return and Exchange Policy

We want you and your cat to be thrilled with our food! If something isn’t right with your order, please let us know immediately so we can figure out what happened and make it right.

Important Notes:

  • No Returns for Food Items: Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns.
  • Picky Eaters: If your cat is picky, we recommend starting with a sample pack or smaller order before committing to a larger purchase. We cannot offer refunds or exchanges if your cat didn’t like the food. The one exception to this is if you purchased our food under a Picky Cat Guarantee, in which case the picky eater policy from that guarantee takes the place of this one.
  • Temperature on Arrival: Your order should arrive obviously cold to the touch, even if some thawing has occurred. If your order doesn’t feel cold upon delivery, please contact us immediately so we can address the issue.


Order Cancellations

We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or modify your order, please contact us at support@californiacatkitchen.com or through our website chat before the Tuesday morning on which it is meant to ship. After this window, cancellations or changes may not be possible, as your order is likely already packed and/or enroute. You can also contact us by phone at (858)-345-9186.


Refunds and Replacements

In cases where we determine a refund or replacement is appropriate (e.g., issues with shipping, damaged goods, or temperature problems), we will process it promptly. Refunds may take 5-7 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank. Replacements will ship out on the next shipping day (we ship all orders on Tuesdays).
