We ship all orders on Mondays and Tuesdays. Once shipped, orders typically arrive within 1-2 days. If your order is placed after our weekly cutoff time (Tuesday at 6:00 AM Pacific Time), it will ship the following Monday or Tuesday. If it is placed any time on Monday, it will ship the following day (Tuesday).
Each box is carefully packed with dry ice, to stay frozen for at least 48 hours in transit, even in the hottest months. If the dry ice has fully sublimated (disappeared) but the food is still cold to the touch, even if it is partially thawed, it’s completely safe to eat. Just refreeze or continue thawing for serving!

Please contact us within 5 days of delivery so we can make it right for you (and your pup!). We’re happy to help with replacements, reshipments, or refunds when notified within that timeframe. Unfortunately, we’re unable to process replacements, reshipments, or refunds for issues reported after 5 days.
The price differences mainly come from what’s involved in shipping individual orders. For online orders, we factor in extra packing supplies like dry ice and insulated shipping boxes, and hands-on labor to pack and ship each order safely. Retail orders are shipped in large bulk quantities, which eliminates those added costs.
Feed 1 container for every 10lb of body weight per day. If your cat is pregnant, nursing, or a kitten, increase feeding amount by 2-4 times.
Store frozen until you are ready to thaw. Thaw in the refrigerator, then use within 5 days of defrosting.
Our cat recipes are 98% meat, and contain about 2% supplement.
We source nearly all of our nutrients from whole food ingredients. Only 4 to 6 nutrients per recipe come from a supplement powder—far fewer than the 13 to 17 typically used by other fresh food brands. We use these 4 to 6 supplement ingredients because it is difficult to find whole food sources for those nutrients that will meet AAFCO recommended levels.
We work with a board certified PhD veterinary nutritionist who reviews and helps to formulate our recipes. This helps us to ensure that all of our standard recipes are complete and balanced for all life stages.

The majority of our ingredients are sourced either locally from California or within the continental USA, which includes all of our meats and produce.
Human grade means every ingredient and the final product are legally edible for humans and made in a human food–approved facility (USDA/FDA standards). This designation is a step above most pet foods.
We cook each batch to 165F, then add in the supplements during the cooling process. Then we freeze the product and run it through a metal detector, then package it for sale.
We make one recipe at a time and all of our equipment, surfaces, and floors are disinfected afterward. All of our production staff are food handler certified, helping to ensure strict food safety and sanitation practices.
Avian flu can be a concern for raw foods, but doesn't affect cooked foods. Our food is cooked to an internal temperature of 165F and held at that temperature for a minimum of 5 minutes. This is the FDA-recommended protocol for eliminating pathogens, including avian flu. The food is in a different area of our facility once it is cooked, so there's no cross-contamination between the raw and finished product.
